In line with the calls being made by other SADC and African leaders that sanctions for Zimbabwe must fall, Zanu PF has set aside next Thursday to be the Anti Sanctions solidarity march day. The event is being organised by the ruling party and is open to everyone The Herald Reports.
Obert Mpofu urged all Zimbabweans to participate regardless of one’s political affiliation. Mpofu said this to The Herald:
We want to make it a national event. The solidarity march will include the Government, civil society, students, the business community (and) all political parties, among others, to participate in the solidarity march. The event is open to everyone
The President is expected to address thousands of people who will gather for the solidarity march that will take place in Harare.
The solidarity march is coming at a time when other African leaders have joined Zimbabwe in calling for sanctions to be removed. 25 October has been set aside as the day SADC countries will undertake activities in solidarity with Zimbabwe to intensify the Sanctions for Zimbabwe must fall calls.

I don’t know how many times Zanu pf will know that there is no sanctions in Zimbabwe. The only serious Sanction in Zimbabwe is Mnanagwa and his Zanu pf. Why now seeing the importance of gathering in the Harare city and your government was denying other party to demonstrate. So what is special about you Ed. Dont full us. So are you saying people will be arrested by coming to that solidarity march which you have planned. You did that with Mugabe and it never worked. So you came with another strategy from Tokyo. Shame!
The best thing is zanu pf to leave the position and hand it over to chamisa thats the solution not to do that rabbish
So one can demonstrate against sanctions but one cant demonstrate against a defunct economy.
