Chief Shumba Of "ED PFEE" Fame Up For Rape
Local musician, Kennedy Sanyanga, who is known for his hit song, “ED PFEE” has appeared before Harare Magistrate’s Court facing rape charges.
Best known as Chief Shumba in the arts industry, Sanyanga is being accused of having raped a housemaid who works at a Waterfalls home where he is reportedly receiving spiritual healing.
The Magistrate, Rumbidzai Ruled that the singer applies for bail at the High Court.
The State alleges that the incident took place on July 30 this year in Waterfalls.
It further alleges that Chief Shumba asked the maid to assist him to carry his luggage from the house where he was receiving treatment to his house.

When they arrived, Sanyanga invited the complainant into the room but she rejected the offer. He reportedly dragged her inside and then violated her without using protection.
The accused threatened the complainant against reporting the matter and she complied.
She only recorded the incident in her diary which was later discovered by her employer. The complainant’s boss reported the matter to the police leading to the arrest of the singer.
The matter will be back in court on the 10th of September.
