"My Ancestors & Parents Suffered For My Generation To Be Free Today" - Paul Pogba

France and Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, has said that racist comments against him only gave him the energy to fight for the freedom of next generations.

Pogba’s remarks come after he and his teammate Marcus Rashford were subjected to social media taunts following their penalty misses recently.

The duo is not the only victims of racist attacks as Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham and Reading’s Yakou Meite were also recently targeted by social media trolls.

Writing on his Instagram account on Sunday, Pogba said:

My ancestors and my parents suffered for my generation to be free today, to work, to take the bus, to play football.

Racist insults are ignorance and can only make me stronger and motivate me to fight for the next generation.

When Pogba was abused, England forward, Rashford also took to twitter to call Manchester United fans to order saying that an attack on Pogba was an attack on the whole team that works as one whole unit.
