One Of Mnangagwa's Top Advisers Quits

Petina Gappah, one of President Mnangagwa’stop advisers has resigned from her position citing frustration by some of the president’s close aides.

Gappah who has vowed that she would not renew her contract was trade and investment advisor to the president.

The lawyer and writer was among the aides who would accompany the president on his foreign trips where he was pushing his re-engagement agenda.

A former employee at the World Trade Organisation revealed her frustration with some of Mnangagwa’s aides on Tuesday. She posted on Facebook and said:

I have come to understand that for many, reform is the last thing they want because to them, it is simply their turn to eat. I have come to understand we are in a transition with no easy fixes. But it is clear as day that Zimbabwe needs a total transformation
