Mapeza, Pasuwa Go Toe To Toe In CAF Champions League

FC Platinum arrived in Bulawayo on Thursday ahead of their Caf Champions League preliminary round second-leg tie against Nyasa Big Bullets of Malawi.

The Premier Soccer League Champions play the Callisto Pasuwa-coached club this Saturday at Barbourfields Stadium.

FC Platinum need a win by any score margin after the first-leg played in Blantyre ended 0-0.

The Zvishavane based club will be without three key players, Tawana Chikore, Evidence Tendai and reigning Soccer Star of the Year Rodwell Chinyengetere

The trio also missed the first-leg. FC Platinum media and liaison officer Chido Chizondo said:

I think there was a miscommunication between Caf, ourselves and Zifa on the registration of the said players. So even for the second-leg they are not available, but should we proceed, as we expect, then they will start playing.

Victory for FC Platinum will take them to next stage for a date against either UD Songo of Mozambique or Simba Stars of Tanzania.

The first round matches will be played on the weekend of September 13-15 and September 27-29 and will be the final qualifiers before the group stage matches.
