FULL TEXT: Apex Council Consulting Members Over Govt’s 76% Salary Increase Offer

The Apex Council has revealed that it is consulting with members on whether to accept or reject the Government’s latest salary increase offer. The government proposed a 76% increase. We present the full text below.

APEX COUNCIL STATEMENT ON NJNC COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENT NEGOTIATIONS

Following the rejection of a 10% government offer by the APEX Council, the NJNC meeting convened today this 23 August 2019 saw government move their offer to 76% of the total package with effective from the 1 st August 2019.

The offer does not meet the stated position of the workers which is pegged at $4750.00 for the least paid civil servant. According to this development, the lowest-paid worker is expected to take home $1023.00 RTGS up from $582.00 RTGS.

In response, the APEX Council requested for time to consult with their members. On Tuesday 28 August 2019, the two parties will meet again for further deliberations on the issue.

  1. This is nonsense. The gvt increased the prices of its goods and services by up to 500% recently but u give 76% to workers. Those gvt ministers do not even use this useless bond note they are giving us but have suitcases full of USD they stole from us. God where are u when these devils are causing so much suffering to your pple.
