The United States of America’s ambassador to Zimbabwe, Brian Nichols on Thursday visited human rights activist, Tatenda Mombeyarara who is admitted to a local hospital.
Mombeyarara was on Tuesday night abducted by a gang of 5, heavily armed man from his home. He was severely assaulted and left for dead by the terror group which accused him of organising demonstrations. Writing on Twitter, Nichols said:
Tatenda Mombeyarara (@CdeTatenda) remains resilient and committed to human rights despite the terrible torture he endured. U.S. Ambassador Brian A. Nichols visited him today, observed his injuries, and listened to his story.

Real democracy true as is universally is still a very long way not only in Zimbabwe but Africa as a whole as a deeply seated resistance to freedom of self expression by the powers that be remains holding firmly making self expression for true transformation, true liberation for now quite a taboo. God bless.
“Unknown Gunmen” in the Press, but in real news the perpetrators of this hideous act are known in colour and in kind…….Operatives affiliated to the Party self-proclaimed and acknowledges to have degrees in violence.
This is a wonderful gesture. I’d read of the gruesome attack on Cde Tatenda who was left for dead.
We know where the directive to do so came from. I pray that he recovers nicely. Please God, place your healings hands over Zimbabwe. She really needs it. Urgently. Thank you for your compassion Mr AMB.
