The Zimbabwe Republic Police on Thursday afternoon deployed its officers in full force in Harare ahead of protests planned by the opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) set for Friday, 16 August 2018.
Police with water cannons patrolled the streets and warned residents, “you will rot in jail” if they participate in the demonstrations.
