BREAKING: Passengers Injured In TOMBS Bus Accident
A huge number of commuters were reportedly injured when the ZUPCO contracted Tombs bus wheeled off the road near Ziscosteel plant in Redcliff today.
The bus was contracted to ply the Kwekwe-Redcliff route.
The Herald reports that when its crew arrived at the scene, commuters were still jumping from the bus through the windows.
Kwekwe’s Ward One Councillor, Munyaradzi Mnikwa who was at the scene said although there were no critical cases, several people were rushed to Kwekwe District hospital for medical examination. Mnikwa said:
We got rapid response from Kwekwe and Redcliff Municipalities whose ambulances ferried people to the hospital.

Mr Mhaka, the driver of the Tombs bus said that the bus veered off the road as a result of breaks failure.
The bus was going to Torwood.
