Tendai Darikwa Suffers Serious Knee Injury
Warriors and Nottingham Forest defender, Tendayi Darikwa is set to miss a huge chunk of the 2019/20 English Championship season after suffering a serious knee injury.
Darikwa reportedly ruptured an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) during training on Thursday.
Even though his club did not put a precise timescale on his likely return, the 27-year-old will miss the Reds’ season opener against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday evening.
Darikwa was in the Warriors squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations where he played in all three group games against the hosts, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Warriors will most likely miss him when they take on minnows Somalia in the two-legged preliminary round qualifiers set to begin during the weekend of September 2.
