Mighty Warriors Coach Sithethelelwe, “Kwinji 15” Sibanda, has said that the win against Angola boosted the team’s confidence ahead of their match against Mozambique at 12.45PM today.
The Mighty Warriors won 4-1 against Angola whilst Mozambique were beaten 3-1 by Eswatini on Thursday.
Zimbabwe seeks to maintain their good start at the Cosafa Women’s Championship since only the top team will make it into the semi-finals.
Sibanda said:
We know it’s going to be a tough one again, but we are ready to go and the result (against Madagascar), that we got, it’s a motivation to the players,’’ said Sibanda. It’s been long since we played a competitive match together so this is a good start and I hope we maintain it throughout the tournament.
