The Nelson Chamisa-led MDC has resolved to punish Standing Committee members who come late for meetings or fail to attend altogether.
Members who come late for meetings will have to pay $25 while those who fail to attend meetings will pay a $100 penalty.
The development was confirmed by party spokesperson Daniel Molokele. He said:
These are internal issues being done to improve efficiency and encourage people to be responsible. It’s not written anywhere but just an administrative matter that was proposed in that context.
