Govt Dismisses Reports Of Another Fuel Price Hike

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has dismissed reports of an imminent hike in fuel prices.

This comes after an email purported from ZERA has surfaced, advising members of the public that fuel prices will be raised again after the latest hike affected this Monday. The “new prices” for diesel and petrol had been set at ZWL$9.19 and ZWL$9.47 respectively.

In a statement on social media, ZERA said:

ZERA wishes to inform the public to ignore a fake email notice circulating on social media on Fuel Price Increase. The Fuel Prices remain as ZWL 7.19 & ZWL 7.47 for Diesel and Blend respectively.
