ED Returns From The Extraordinary African Union Summit Held In Niger

President Emmerson Mnangagwa has returned from Niger where he was attending the Extraordinary African Union Summit that was held in Niamey.

The meeting was held under the theme: “Refugees, Returnees and Internally Displace Persons: Towards Durable Solutions to Forced Displacements in Africa”.

The summit featured the 35th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council and the 12th Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union on the African Continental Free Trade Area. The sessions resulted in the launch of the African Continental Free Trade Area which is premised at creating a $3.4 trillion economic bloc and usher in a new era of development

The President was met at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport by senior government officials including Vice President, Kembo Mohadi, and Minister of Defence and War Veterans Affairs, Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri.
