Caps United Fans Demand Chitembwe’s Return

Caps United coach Lloyd Chitembwe was again missing from the bench as the Green Machine was floored 1-0 by ZPC Kariba in a Castle Lager Premier League match played at Nyamhunga Stadium in Kariba on Saturday.

Makepekepe technical advisor, Nelson Matongorere, was in charge of the team following Chitembwe’s alleged clash with club vice-president Nhamo Tutisani over team selection several days ago.

Caps United fans reportedly prevented Matongorere from doing his post-match media duties as they demanded the return of Chitembwe.

A famous Makepekepe fan, Mupostori, spoke to The Sunday Mail. He said:

The whole technical team should stop reporting for duty in solidarity with Chitembwe.

We want Chitembwe back, Tutisani wants to destroy this club.

Caps United was not helped in the match against Katuruturu by the absence of several first-team players.

The players missing were Prosper Chigumba, Joel Ngodzo, Method Mwanjale, Valentine Musarurwa, Gabriel Nyoni, Kudzai Nyamukupfukudza and Blessing Sarupinda due to either injury or suspension.
