Zimbabweans Were Better Off During Mugabe Era - Richard Tsvangirayi
Richard Tsvangirayi, son to former Prime Minister and MDC founding president Morgan Tsvangirayi has disputed the assertion that Zimbabwe has become a lower-middle-income country.
Tsvangirayi said that the situation on the ground shows that Zimbabweans are now poorer than they were during former President Robert Mugabe’s reign.
Writing on microblogging site, Twitter, Tsvangirayi said:
This means we have an issue of inequality in the nation because what’s on the paper doesn’t tally with the situation on the ground.
Zimbabweans are poorer than they were during the Mugabe era, their purchasing power has been reduced by high taxes and inflation.
