PICTURES: Warriors Resume Training Ahead Of DRC Match On Sunday
The Warriors have resumed training as they prepare for thair encounter with DRC in an AFCON Group A match. There were reports suggesting that ZIFA had threatened to pull out the team from the tournament as the players were refusing to play until they were paid their outstanding balances. The players reportedly agreed and asked the association to arrange transportation as soon as possible. Although the association is refuting that, some of the players who spoke to the Chronicle revealed that one player, Nyasha Mushekwi pledged to personally pay the players. He is said to have told them that the withdrawal would adversely affect both the players and the country. The Warriors desparately need to win the match if they have to proceed to the knockout stage. They also pray that Egypt beat Uganda.
