"Musona Too Big For South African Clubs"

Warriors captain Knowledge Musona said that he is not thinking of returning to South Africa at the moment as he believes that there is no club in that country that can support him.

In an interview with The Citizen newspaper, Musona said that he may return to the ABSA premiership when the time is right. He is quoted as saying:

They love me there in South Africa, and when the time is right I will go back.

South Africa is my home, not only one club but the whole country.

Remember, I said I still have a three-year contract, and I don’t know if any team from South Africa can buy me out of my contract. It is going to be difficult, in football, you never know we will see what happens.

I cannot predict the future, at the moment, I will play here (at the Africa Cup of Nations, and do my best for the country.

The 29-year-old striker is contracted with Belgian club Anderlecht but spent the second half of last season at
K.S.C. Lokeren Oost-Vlaanderen.

Musona is currently at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt where he has drawn plenty of criticism after he missed a couple of golden chances in the Warriors’ 1-1 draw with Uganda on Wednesday night.
