The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), has refuted accusations by Member of Parliament, Temba Mliswa that some of its officials have misappropriated funds and have to be arrested on their return from Egypt.
Responding to the allegations on Twitter, the association said:
ZIFA is yet to receive any funds from the Warriors fundraising committee.
FeedbackAs an honourable MP, we expect Temba Mliswa to verify his facts before making unfounded allegations. We reiterate ZIFA has not abused any funds.

Meanwhile, some of the Warriors fans who commented on the issue on social media were supporting Mliswa’s accusations.
They said Mliswa never mentioned funds generated by the fundraising committee, implying that he may have been referring to funds availed by CAF.
