Cross border truck drivers have reportedly blocked the Beitbridge border post for fellow drivers intending to go to the South African side. This comes after reports indicating that two Zimbabwean drivers were shot and killed in Polokwane.

During xenophobic attacks early this year, some Zimbabwean drivers were reportedly burnt alive by South Africans who accused them of taking jobs from them.
An organiser of Zimbabwean truck driver in South Africa told South Africa’s IOL that there are more than 400 Zimbabwean truck drivers in South Africa.
