Warriors Give ZIFA Ultimatum To Pay Them US$9 000 Each By 1 PM

In a new twist to the Warriors-ZIFA standoff, the players have reportedly given the association an ultimatum to give them US$9 000 each by Friday afternoon.

The Warriors have warned ZIFA that if the money is not disbursed by 1 PM, they will not fulfil today’s fixture against the Warriors of Egpyt.

According to Soccer24, the players and Zifa had reached common ground on Thursday night after the intervention of Acting Sports Minister Kazembe Kazembe who is Egypt while Caf vice president Amaju Melvin Pinnick led a delegation which also talked with captain Knowledge Musona and his vice Ovidy Karuru.

Writing on Twitter on Friday, Star FM journalist Howard Musonza said:

LATEST ON WARRIORS…The players want to be paid USD$9000 before 1 pm today or they will not play tonight against Egypt. The players are meeting at 11 am to map a way forward.
