A South African football fan, a friend Alvin Zhakata, has failed to secure a visa to pass through Ethiopia to complete a road trip the two are taking to Egypt for Afcon.
The man, Botha Mslia, posted an emotional message on Twitter lamenting that he had been misled and had, therefore, made mistakes. He said he would now go back to Kenya, from where he would either use another mode of transport to Egypt or go back home to South Africa.

South Africa’s minister of transport, tweeted a reply asking the Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture Nathi Mthethwa to intervene to help.
Botha Msila and Zhakata were taking a road adventure across Africa from Cape Town with the intention of reaching Egypt for the Afcon tournament. They got stuck at the Kenyan border with Ethiopia after they were informed Visa were now required for Zimbabwe and SA citizens. They were stuck there for 3 days before Msila gave up and posted the video above.
