Mliswa Tells Mutsvangwa "To Stop Acting Like Mugabe"

Norton Legislator, Temba Mliswa has called upon the government to stop attacking the business. This comes after the government had said that it is fully aware that there are business entities engaged in acts of economic sabotage through unwarranted price hikes.

Recently, Minister of Information, Monica Mutsvangwa singled out sugar-manufacturing giant, Tongaat Hullet among the economic saboteurs. She claimed that prices hikes are being effected to “prove” that the ZANU PF administration is failing to run the country.

However, Mliswa believes that the government is replicating tactics which were being used by former president Robert Mugabe’s administration, hence retrogressive. Responding to recent attacks on the business by Mutsvangwa, he said:

When Govt fail to run the country suddenly it’s businesspeople’s fault. Ministers must be honest & admit when they fail not play the blame game. At least @fortunechasi tries to be honest.

Zim is open for business&yet you want to fight those same businesspeople. Hon. Minister, your husband has indicated that cartels abound, yet you point fingers at businesspeople as though you don’t know. What about the scandals surrounding him&your children? Tell people the truth

He also observes that the government should be empowering the citizenry not fighting them. Mliswa added:

Which indigenous person has been empowered to own a platinum concession? The examples are endless…. this rot must end
