ZANU PF youths in Mashonaland East have resolved to fully throw their weight behind “embattled” President Emmerson Mnangagwa as they seek to shield him from criticism over the deepening economic crisis.
The youths held a rally recently in Seke constituency where the league boss Kelvin Mutsvairo blamed “saboteurs” for the economic problems. He said:
As the youths, we are behind President Mnangagwa and we are aware of all the machinations by saboteurs who are currently behind the price hikes of basic commodities.
From the interactions we have had with the youths, we are happy that they are now aware of all government efforts to deal with the current crisis.
We have embarked on a tour of each constituency, meeting the youths, identifying projects suitable for their areas for their benefit as we move on.
Provincial chairperson, Joel Biggie Matiza, who also spoke at the rally said that Mnangagwa will soon descend heavily on the economic saboteurs and promised the crowd that things will get back to normal.
