In a show hosted by ZTN about the ongoing political dialogue, Linda Masarira, the leader of the newly formed LEAD party, said that Zimbabwean entrepreneurs Billy Rautenbach, Kudakwashe Tagwirei and others, have caused suffering in Zimbabwe. She also said that the cartel leaders are unfortunately protected by Zanu-PF because they fund the party.
During the discussion Zanu-PF senior member and Minister of State for Mashonaland East Provincial Affairs, Apolonia Munzverengi had said that there are cartels and corrupt people who are disrespectful and indisciplined. She mentioned that fuel entrepreneurs use foreign currency to deal on the black market instead of providing the fuel. She appealed to Zimbabweans to boycott bread and other products by unethical business people.
Let me speak in Shona. We should speak frankly. Apolonia (Munzverengi of Zanu-PF) here was saying ‘these people are disrespecting…’ We should not say ‘these people’ when we know who these people are. It is Billy Rautenbach, It’s Kuda Tagwirei and etc…
These people are just being protected because they also come and fund in political parties. But at the end of the day, we cannot let the children of Zimbabwe suffer because of a few individuals. So this decision has to be made at the highest level. How are we going to deal with these people?
Zimbabweans have suffered enough. We cannot continue like this.
