Civil Society Leader Abducted By Suspected CIO Agents
Human Rights Watch’s Southern Africa Director, Dewa Mavhinga has reported that a civil society leader, Obert Masaraure was abducted by suspected state agents. Masaraure is the president of ARTUZ, a teacher’s labor union. Reports suggest that ARTUZ members have currently suspended their services demanding the government to increase their salaries. This comes when seven more civil society leaders were arrested for allegedly planning to overthrow the government. See Mavhinga’s twitter post below:
