Fuel Supply Situation Stabilising - Minister Mutsvangwa
The Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Monica Mutsvangwa said that the fuel situation has started to improve with most service stations having received the commodity last weekend.
She said this while addressing journalists during a post-cabinet media briefing in Harare on Tuesday evening. Said Mutsvangwa:
Cabinet was briefed by the Minister of Energy and Power Development (Advocate Chasi) that the fuel supply situation in the country has started to register some modicum of stability although much ground is still to be covered in bringing the situation to normalcy.
FeedbackMinister Chasi revealed that even though he could not readily say that the situation has greatly improved on the ground, he was sure that significant supplies had been delivered.
Chasi however, denied claims made by his predecessor Joram Gumbo, that the country has 24 months’ supply of fuel already paid for, saying he stands to be corrected on the issue.
