Pfumbidzai Relishes Facing Mohamed Salah At AFCON
Warriors defender Ronald Pfumbidzai disclosed that he is relishing playing at the Africa Cup of Nations set for next month.
Pfumbidzai, who plays as a left-back, may face Egypt star Mohamed Salah if he is selected to start in the Warriors’ opening match on June 21.
The Bloemfontein Celtic star is unfazed by the prospect of facing the Liverpool winger. Speaking to Newsday, he said:
I am really excited to be going to the African Cup of Nations tournament. It will be my first time to play at the tournament and am looking forward to being there.
I take it as an opportunity to showcase my talents so that I can secure a new club abroad. It’s a good chance for me.

It’s not about me marking Salah or whoever, we play as a team, but I am not scared of anyone. As someone who grew up in the ghetto, I am not afraid to face anyone.
Facing Salah is actually an opportunity rather than a challenge to show what I can do and am ready to face him and any other star.
He added that the current crop of Warriors have what it takes to go beyond the group stage.
The Warriors are in Group A alongside Egypt, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda.
