Chamisa Mourns Dumiso Dabengwa

MDC president Nelson Chamisa has expressed his sorrow over the passing away of liberation war hero and ZAPU president Dumiso Dabengwa.

In a statement, the 41-year-old opposition leader said:

Umdala uDumiso Dabengwa was a humble, wise, honest and principled leader. A hero of our liberation struggle without peer, he lived a simple life.

We don’t take it lightly that he endorsed our cause before he left us. We join the Dabengwa family, and nation during this sad moment.

Dabengwa passed away in Kenya on Thursday morning while returning from India where he was undergoing treatment for liver complications.
