Warriors midfielder, Ovidy Karuru said that the team intends to do well in both the COSAFA and AFCON tournaments.
Karuru, who plays for ABSA Premier league side Amazulu FC, claimed that the team is not under pressure to win the regional tournament as the nation’s focus is mainly on “the Big One”. In an interview with H-Metro on Tuesday, Karuru said:
We are not under pressure and the technical manager know how to manage us, like today we just did light training.
We were just loosening up, and they know we can’t do physical, we are just coming from our seasons and we are fit.
We are prepared, but our main focus is a big one, safe we have done that for two years, to go there and fight, we are not in pressure, even if we don’t perform well, if we managed to work as a team we will come with the cup.
It is important to us, but we know that everyone in Zimbabwe is mainly focused on the afcon.
But we have to take the cosafa seriously since that where we can see if we are ready for the big one, we have to show character.
