Man Rapes Friend's Girlfriend After Beer Binge
A man from Bulawayo was dragged to court last week after he allegedly raped his friend’s girlfriend.
Thabo Ncube (34), from Gwabalanda suburb, reportedly raped the woman after he had sent his friend to buy beer.
Ncube pleaded not guilty when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Joseph Mabeza facing rape charges.
According to State prosecutor, Carol Matanga, the incident occurred on 31 January 2019 at about 9.30 am.
The victim and her boyfriend had visited Ncube where they intended to drink beer.

After the beer had run out, Ncube reportedly sent his friend to sell some groceries, in order to raise money to buy beer.
In his friend’s absence, Ncube raped the woman who had fallen asleep. The friend returned and found Ncube in the very act.
A report was made at Luveve Police Station by the woman resulting in Ncube’s arrest. The woman was then sent to Mpilo Central Hospital for medical examination.
Ncube was remanded in custody to Friday for trial.
