ZESA Not Being Truthful About Load Shedding: Harare Residents
Zimbabwe’s national power utility company ZETDC has been accused of not being truthful on the load shedding situation in the country. Some suburbs in the high-density areas in Harare and Bulawayo, a report by The Standard says, are going for about 112 hours without power.
Harare Residents’ Trust (HRT) director Precious Shumba commented on the situation:
The HRT urges the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) to be honest and accountable to electricity consumers.
FeedbackThe reality on the ground is that residents are spending longer times than usual without electricity supplies. Most of the day residents are going without electricity.
It is irresponsible for the national power supplier to feign ignorance of something that they are in control of.

ZESA released a load shedding schedule yesterday, which looks similar to one that circulated on social media several days earlier.
According to the load shedding schedule, some areas will go up to 10 hours without power.
