Khupe To Take Over MDC Funds And Properties

MDC-T vice president Obert Gutu said that his faction will move to expropriate MDC properties and funds following a High Court ruling on Wednesday that Chamisa became president through unconstitutional means and is therefore illegitimate.

There is no love lost between Gutu and his former colleagues in the MDC Alliance as he has taken every opportunity to throw barbs at them.

Writing on his Twitter page on Thursday, Gutu said:

There shall be very, very serious and far-reaching implications and repercussions following upon Justice Edith Mushore’s judgment handed down yesterday.

Party assets and funds that are presently in unlawful hands shall be recovered. Absolutely no doubt about that!

… If you’re illegitimate, you’re illegitimate! Simple! No amount of angry outbursts against Zimbabwe’s judiciary will cleanse your illegitimacy! An illegitimate ‘leader’ runs an illegitimate organization. Simple!

The Chamisa-led MDC has however vowed to proceed with its elective Congress slated for May 24-26 where the incumbent is set to be anointed as the late Morgan Tsvangirai’s heir.

  1. A grossly ill advised judicial determination, that will bitterly divide and further antagonize the nation for decades to come. By all indications this is meant to demoralize and confuse Chamisa and the huge electoral fellowship behind his name and the MDC, nevertheless watch this carefully surprises and even stronger in the opposite will emerge, for God is watching. Can anyone tell us honestly who is responsible for underdeveloping and impoverishing Africas and for now Zimbabweans under such circumstances.?
