Ex-Thokozani Khupe Ally Celebrates Chamisa’s “Fall”

Former spokesperson of the Thokoxani Khupe-led MDC-T, Linda Masarira has mocked Nelson Chamisa’s MDC following High Court Judge Esther Muremba’s ruling that the latter’s presidency is illegitimate.

Writing on Twitter, Masarira said:

He-e legitimacy what not what not. The legitimate has been ruled the illegitimate. Karma karma karma…

Operation Restore Legitimacy.

Oh, what a wonderful way to start my Wednesday.

Responding to Chamisa’s spokesperson, Nkululeko Sibanda, Masarira gloated:

Mapedza kudealer nenyaya yenyu yekuva illegitimate kuhigh court here vaNku. Mavata mumaguza neshangu ka?

Masarira a few months ago sacked by MDC-T from her position as a spokesperson after she was pictured wearing ZANU PF regalia at a rural function. She subsequently launched her own party, LEAD several weeks ago.

Prior to that, in 2016, Masarira was arrested by the police together with 19 other people. Linda was among the six people that were arrested in Budiriro and the other 13 people were from Mufakose.

She was subsequently sent to Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison, but on 26 September she was released after her lawyers approached the High Court seeking an order requiring the detained person to be released or to be brought before the court for the lawfulness of the detention to be justified and the detention to be declared illegal and ordering the detained person’s prompt release.
