ZANU PF Projects A Win For Ramaphosa & A.N.C.

ZANU PF secretary for Information and Publicity, Simon Khaya Moyo has tipped the South African African National Congress to win the upcoming elections.

He was speaking from South Africa where he and other 10 Zanu-PF members will be observing tomorrow’s elections. Moyo added that the atmosphere was calm and peaceful. Moyo said:

The ANC could be heading for a victory and the rally was a huge success, sending a clear message of dominance. The atmosphere around is calm and peaceful.

The 11 member delegation attended an ANC “Siyanqoba” star rally at Ellis Park on Sunday. The incumbent, President Cyril Ramaphosa will lead the ANC in tomorrow’s elections against his main challengers, Mr. Mmusi Maimane of the Democratic Alliance and Julius Malema of the Economic Freedom Fighters.

Poll forecasts have so far tipped a win for the ANC although there are variances in projected percentages from one research institute to another. According to IPSOS poll published in March, the ANC is likely to win with about 60 percent whilst the Institute for Race Relations (IRR) forecast of May suggests that it is likely to win with between 49,5 and 51 percent.

Analysts say that the voter uncertainty which has been growing days before the elections is happening for the first time in 25 years. Some believe that the uncertainty is being caused by divisions and corruption within the ANC and divisions within the DA.
