Highlands Park and Warriors striker, Tendai Ndoro, has been lauded by his club coach, Owen da Gama, after inspiring his club to a 1-0 win over Bloemfontein Celtic at Makhulong Stadium in Tembisa.

The match played over the weekend, ensured that 10-men Highlands Park regained their place in the top 8 of the ABSA Premiership.

Speaking after the match, Da Gama praised the 33-year old former Ajax striker for his contribution. He said:

Tendai has got experience and he can score goals.

For him to come into a club like Highlands‚ initially it was a little difficult because we play a running game.

He’s a more mature player but we knew that if we count on him‚ he would come through for us.

For me, he is a quality player and he is a player that can score during crucial times.

He once again scored the winning goal for us.

He encourages (Namibian striker) Peter Shalulile ….. actually all the strikers all the time.

All that experience he has and his quality really helps the team big time.
