Rushwaya Might Retain Her Post After All

Forty nine (49) out of a possible 54 affiliates of the Zimbabwe Miners Federation (ZMF) have resolved to support the Supreme Court appeal against a High Court order which nullified the election of the current executive.

The affiliates who met in Kwekwe under the banner of the ZMF Special General Council Meeting resolved to support the Rushwaya led executive.

The meeting also resolved that the old executive’s Gweru meeting held 3 weeks ago did not comply with the court order as the old executive did not meet with the general council.

The Council also criticised the former executive’s failure to consult the minister as per the High Court Relief Order. It also frowned upon the unrpocedural registering of the ZMF as a Trust.

Moreover, the former executive was criticised for allegedly trying to register the constitution in a fraudulent manner.
