Sulumani Chimbetu Punches Journalist - Report

Sungura musician, Sulumani ‘Chopper’ Chimbetu allegedly assaulted a freelance journalist on April 5 2019. The reporter, Tendai Guvamombe had asked a question which the musician was not happy with.

Gumbamombe told MISA Zimbabwe that the incident occurred during a clean-up exercise in Harare’s high-density suburb of Glen Norah in which Chimbetu also participated.

Guvamombe had asked Chimbetu why he had reneged on helping an upcoming musician he was supposed to collaborate with. The question annoyed Chimbetu who punched the reporter in the abdomen with the help of another man.
