Gweru City Council To Shoot All Stray Dogs

Gweru City Council has ordered residents to secure their dogs as it will be enforcing the ‘Tie-Up-Order from 10 April 2019 to 10 May 2019.

The Council said that all dogs ought to be kept secured within premises and those that are found roaming the streets during the period will be considered as stray and will be shot. The notice reads:

Please be advised that Gweru City, ZRP, Dept of Vet Services & SPCA will be enforcing the Tie-Up-Order from 10/04/19-10/05/19.

All dogs kept within unsecured premises &/or in excess of the required number found roaming the streets during this period will be regarded as stray dogs & shot.
