ZIFA Writes To COSAFA Requesting For More Time
The Zimbabwe Football Association has written to COSAFA asking for a postponement of a disciplinary hearing that was supposed to be held on Thursday in Johannesburg, South Africa.
ZIFA faces a heavy fine of up to US$1 million for breaching an agreement with the regional football body over the hosting over the COSAFA Cup.
ZIFA communications manager Xolisani Gwesela on Thursday revealed that they had asked for a postponement of the disciplinary hearing. He said:
We have written to COSAFA asking for the postponement of the hearing so that they allow us time to prepare for the hearing.
I can confirm that our request has been granted and the hearing will now be done on April 11. Since the matter is still before the COSAFA Disciplinary Committee, I will not comment further than this.

ZIFA had agreed to host the tournament this year but pulled out after the government refused to offer guarantees.
This left the holding of the tournament hanging by a thread, leaving COSAFA with no option but summon ZIFA for a hearing.
