The MDC is appealing to its membership, supporters and the public to assist victims of cyclone Idai which has so far claimed the lives of more than 60 people and rendered hundreds homeless in Chimanimani and Chipinge districts. More than 100 people are reported missing.
The MDC has set up a command centre at its Headquarters, Morgan Tsvangirai House and Manicaland offices to coordinate relief efforts towards the ravaging effects of the cyclone.
The Party is appealing for donations in the form of potable water, clothes, food items, tents, temporary shelter, building material, books, sanitary ware, diapers, children clothing and blankets.
