Herbal Medicine Kills 4-year-girl In Mzlikazi, Bulawayo
A Bulawayo woman allegedly killed her 4-year-old dumb daughter after she gave her a herb to help her gain speech.
The girl’s father Mr Mbuso Ncube, reported his wife, Mrs Lindiwe Ncube of Mzilikazi suburb, to the police leading to her arrest.
Ncube got the herbal concoction from a traditional healer based in Makokoba, suburb, Ms Senzeni Jiyane (59), popularly known as Gogo Majiyane, who specialises in children’s illnesses.
The little girl complained of severe stomach pains after ingesting the “medicine” and was rushed to Mpilo Central Hospital where she passed away a few hours after admission.
Police confirmed the incident. Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube said:

I can confirm that we are investigating a murder case where a four-year-old girl died after drinking a traditional concoction. The woman who supplied the concoction (Jiyane) is in police custody and is assisting with investigations.
Mrs Lindiwe Ncube and Senzeni Jiyane face a murder charges.
