Mugabe Gave Zanu-PF $40 Million For 2018 Election Campaign

National Patriotic Front (NPF) spokesperson Jealousy Mawarire has said Zanu-PF got $40 million for its 2018 election campaign from an account availed by former President Robert Mugabe.

Mawarire said this on Twitter while commenting on an article by The Herald which alleges MDC leader Nelson Chamisa is being funded by Mugabe ahead of the opposition party’s congress in May. Said Mawarire:

Seems when propaganda fails, the Herald resorts to EDiocy. What the Herald isn’t telling its readers is the incontrovertible fact that the former Pres is still a Zanu-PF member & that Zanu-PF got $40m for it’s 2018 election campaign from an account he availed the party.
