Motorist In Court For Ramming Into Chiwenga's Motorcade
A Marondera motorist appeared in court on Monday after he allegedly rammed his car into Vice President, Constantino Chiwenga’s motorcade.
The 57-year-old Denis Chiwawa appeared before a Harare magistrate facing charges of negligent driving.
The incident is said to have occurred on 23 November last year. Chiwawa was driving his Toyota Corolla along Samora Machel Avenue due West when he rammed into Chiwenga’s lead car.
Chiwawa allegedly smashed into a Toyota Gilux Revo which was being driven by Pepukai Chimire who was escorting Chiwenga.
He denied the charges of overspeeding and negligent driving and instead blamed Chimire for causing the accident. Trial continues on Tuesday.
