Permanent secretary in the Ministry for Information, Media, and Broadcasting Services Ndavaningi Mangwana revealed that he attended the funeral wake of the late prolific author, Charles Mungoshi.
Mangwana was responding to a question by Progressive Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe Raymond Majongwe who had suggested that the government never officially commented on Mungoshi’s death. Said Mangwana:
We did. The Minister of Information Senator Mutsvangwa and I attended his funeral wake. She delivered a message. Ministry of Youth was represented and the President issued a condolence message as well. Our Ministry fed mourners for one of the days from breakfast, etc
Charles Lovemore Mungoshi was a Zimbabwean novelist.
