Zimbabweans Yearn For Robert Mugabe As Economy Deteriorates - Report
Zimbabweans who spoke to AFP news agency revealed that they already miss former President Robert Mugabe who was resigned in November 2017 after pressure from the military and his ZANU PF party.
A Harare resident who identified herself as Anita Mugombedzi had this to say:
We miss Mugabe. If he didn’t care, at least he pretended to. If what we have seen so far is anything to judge by, Zimbabwe will be worse than it was under Mugabe at his worst.
FeedbackAn unemployed accountant, who also spoke to AFP, Edmond Jera, said:
Mugabe made mistakes but he was not as ruthless as those who took over from him. We thought things would be better under Mnangagwa but now many people are saying Mugabe was better.
