Mutodi Distances Self From ZANU PF Youth League Squabbles

Deputy Minister for Information, Media and Broadcasting Services, Energy Mutodi has distanced himself from the vote of no confidence passed by the ZANU PF youth league against the national leadership.

In an interview with Newsday, Mutodi was asked why he thought he was the right person for the post of youth league leader. In response, he said:

Let me make it clear that I am not behind the current developments in the youth league.

The youth league has independently given a vote-of-no-confidence in their leadership and ordinarily, there will be succession when that happens.

A lot has happened in the country, but there has not been much activity in the youth league. There is a general feeling that our youth league is cold and weak. Zanu PF is the ruling party, not the opposition. We have to take the lead.
