A Family of God (FOG) pastor based in Beitbridge, Henius Muzopa, faces arrest for allegedly beating up a female congregant on Sunday.
The man of the cloth is alleged to have bashed to elderly congregant, Thokozile Moyo in response to a political getting. It is thought that the assault has to do with the factionalism that is rocking the church.
Eyewitnesses told Southern Eye that the incident took place at the church’s Dulivhadzimo premises.
After being punched and killed, Moyo ran away and was subsequently hospitalised for a brief period. She has since made a formal report under RRB number 3822334 at Beitbridge Police.
Factionalism in FOG is said to have started when its founder, Andrew Wutawunashe revealed that he had divorced his wife and was cohabitating with a Botswana woman.
