Soldiers Beat Up Chief 'By Mistake' At Beitbridge Border Post
A Beitbridge chief was allegedly assaulted by soldiers on Sunday. The chief, David Mbedzi (24), known as Chief Sitauze was beaten as the members of the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) doubted his credentials.
Mbedzi had explained to the soldiers in vain that even though he was young, he was indeed a chief. The Chief had this to say:
They humiliated me; they threw me down and assaulted me. Even when I told them of my position, they did not listen and continued physically abusing me.
