Violent Storm Leaves Trail Of Destruction At Beitbridge Border Post
A torrential downpour accompanied by strong winds damaged immigration offices at Beitbridge border post on Thursday afternoon.
Reports indicate that there were no casualties from the incident. However, a power outage was experienced in the border down as a result of the furious storm.
An official at the border post revealed:
Part of the roof is now leaking as a result of the damage… The rains were accompanied by storms.
The incident comes after the Meteorological Services Department recently warned of violent rains in some parts of the country.
